Running a business automatically means you would need to send professional invoices to your customers in order to receive payments. Sending invoices help you document any service rendered or item sold and makes it easier for you to request for payment and to track your inventory.

You can now create and send invoices with your Brass account and receive payments directly into your Brass account or on a secure platform.

Brass invoices are easy to create and are also arranged unto one dashboard so that you get to see the amount of paid invoices created and also unpaid invoices.

How do I create invoices?

To create an invoice, log into your brass account, select invoices on the left hand side of your menu page and click on create invoice.

Fill in the details

Fill in your invoice details. This includes the item you want payment for, the quantity, amount and any extra description you wish to make.

Brass invoices automatically come with an invoice number which can help you track and manage your invoices seamlessly.

You will also have to fill in your customer’s information — name, email, and phone number.

Your ‘invoice date’ is the day you created the invoice, you can select your ‘due date’. Which is the day payment is due for that invoice.

Select your payment option

Your customer can make payment directly to your Brass account. As an alternative to direct transfer, you can provide your customer the option for the invoice to be paid online. This can be done using a secure payment link.

Your invoice is ready to be sent

Your invoice is now ready to be sent as an email to your customer. Fill in your email subject and message and select if you would like a copy sent to your email address.

If you are not ready to send your invoices, you can schedule it to send for later.

This is what your invoice looks like when your customer receives it.

Your customer can choose to make payment directly to your Brass Account or click on “Pay now” and pay using our secure payment link.

Reminders

You can always send a reminder to your customer on any unpaid invoice created.

When an invoice has been paid, you can mark the invoice as paid or delete the invoice altogether.

  • Will I be charged for creating invoices?

Creating and sending invoices on Brass is totally free! All you need is a Brass account.

  • Can I accept payments in all currencies ?

You can currently only accept payments in Naira through bank transfer or our secure payment link

  • What are the ways I can use to receive payment?

Your customers can either pay directly into your Brass account, make a payment if they use Brass or pay using our online secure link.
